Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers amazing rooms at a very affordable price, although the lack of heating could be uncomfortable. The service was fantastic with very helpful and friendly staff, but somewhat thinly spread across the large hotel. The location is excellent, especially for those using the train station, with a large free car park available. The dining experience was mediocre, with limited options and average quality food.
Upon arrival at 4:00 p.m., I found the rooms to be impeccably clean and the beds generously comfortable. However, my room lacked basic toiletries while my partner's and her sister's room had them. The hotel staff put in tremendous effort to manage the overwhelming number of disgruntled guests despite being understaffed after 10 pm. The location was ideal for sightseeing, with friendly staff always available to offer help. The dining experience was subpar, considering the limited breakfast selection for guests, even with the included free breakfast until 10 am.
My stay at the hotel was overall pleasant. The rooms, while basic, were fine and quite spacious. The staff was very helpful and friendly, but it was a bit challenging to find someone after 10.30 pm. The location was very central and easy to reach from the station, although some areas could be freshened up. The dining experience was good for a full Scottish breakfast, setting me up well for the day ahead. The facilities were acceptable, providing all the necessary services.
